Robin sets new Boys' Club record!
ROBIN Whiteley set a new course record to take the Burnley Boys' Club 10K on Sunday.
The eighth race in the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix series saw the ASIC West runner finish over a minutes ahead of Preston's Marc Hartley.
Blackburn duo Paul Guinan and Lee Passco rounded out the top four.
And there were veteran category wins for Barry Brock, Brian Horrocks, Alan Clarkson, Peter Booth, Barry Mitchell, Harry Manning and Brian Leathley.
The ladies' race saw three records fall by the wayside, with Pendle's Sara Burns triumphing ahead of Clayton duo Sue Burns and Tracey Mitchell.
Burns was another one to break a record, doing so in the V45 section, with Kitty Garnett smashing the V70 mark.
Mitchell and Jennifer Adams were the other veteran winners.
The ninth race of the series is not until July 29th, when the Red Rose Whalley Nab takes place in Whalley, 7 p.m. start.
