One casualty had to be cut free from a car after it collided with a bus yesterday.

The accident happened in Widow Hill Road, Burnley at 6pm.

Two fire engines from Burnley and Nelson along with the urban search and rescue team from Chorley were called to the scene.

Firefighters rescued the casualty, who was taken to hospital, using cutting equipment.
